Minnesota Timberwolves point guard target No. 2: John Wall, Houston Rockets

The John Wall experiment in Houston was a failure, to say the least, but it was by no means his own fault. Brought in to pair alongside James Harden, the entire season was thrown out the window pretty early on when The Beard was traded to the Brooklyn Nets.

Wall and the Rockets looked to be a great pair at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, he suffered yet another injury during his recently rocky road to recovery. With Ricky Rubio still on the roster, Wall can have his load managed pretty easily which will allow him to stay healthy.

His addition will allow for more floor spacing not only because of his alright 3-point shooting ability but rather his incredible ability to slash and cut to the basket. He’s still a good passer and playmaker which will make him a hot commodity should the Rockets decide to move on from him and embrace a full rebuild. The veteran experience he would bring to the locker room would be valuable for the young players currently on the Timberwolves and for the other players the team brings in through the draft.

He’s definitely not the most popular option but his presence would definitely push the team into contention, as would any high-level point guard.
