Utah Jazz: 3 crucial goals for their playoff run
Utah Jazz playoff goals No. 3: Keep their best players on the floor
The Jazz were a little lucky this season to keep the top spot. They were up the top of the standings with two-thirds of the season completed and then their team star Mitchell rolled his ankle, missing 18 games.
The Jazz fell back to the pack, only taking the top seed by a single game over the Phoenix Suns. This was a huge benefit for the Jazz as it gives them home seeding for the entire time they are in the playoffs. If they make the next round, and then the finals, this may be a deciding factor.
In order to do this though, they need to keep their starting backcourt on the floor. Mike Conley has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. His defense has been missed by the Jazz, not to mention what he brings to the floor offensively.
The Jazz also had another scare with Mitchell and his ankle. He has come out and said that it is fine but without him, the Jazz are not going to get past the LA Clippers, let alone be the team that gets out of the West.
