Utah Jazz playoff goals No. 2: Keep feeding Mitchell and Clarkson

With the exception of the first game of their round one matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Jazz have not dropped a game in the postseason. One of the reasons for this is the play of Mitchell, who missed the first game of the postseason.

In the six games that he has played, Mitchell has averaged 32.7 points, 5.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in32.5 minutes per game. He is shooting at 48.2 percent from the floor, 41.9 percent from deep, and 87.8 percent from the line. He is continuing his tremendous play from the last playoffs, but this time the team is winning.

Jordan Clarkson is then continuing to produce offense off the bench, which gives their opponents no break. This is what is to be expected from the newly crowned sixth man of the year, an honor well deserved for the 28-year-old shooting guard.

In these playoffs, he is averaging 19.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 25.9 minutes per game. His shooting has been solid, going 42.2 percent from the floor, 33.8 percent from deep, and has not missed a free throw. His play, along with Mitchell’s, has opened up the floor for Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley to produce good numbers as well.
