Reason No. 2: The roster overhaul allows fresh faces to step up for the Orlando Magic

While it was always comforting to see the familiar faces of the players we all know and love, sometimes a team just needs to spice things up and make some changes to get back to winning ways. Instead of looking at the departure of Fournier, Gordon and Vučević as a wasted opportunity, look at it as the beginning of a new chapter in Magic basketball.

More from Orlando Magic

Not only does the team still have Fultz and Isaac coming back for 2021, but we have fresh faces still on the roster that have been waiting in the wings. Players such as Chuma Okeke, Cole Anthony and R.J. Hampton have already shown flashes of potential. Mo Bamba may get his opportunity to step up and take that starting center role. Wendell Carter Jr. came over in the trade with the Bulls. The Magic will also most likely have a high draft pick in the 2021 NBA Draft who can step in right away and potentially be a difference-maker. There are so many new faces we could see take a big jump.

There is so much unknown about this team that players and fans alike should be excited about the upcoming season. Free agency is always hectic, and the team could sign more young players to try and build a team from scratch. As a fan, this is the time to get excited because there are so many possibilities for this team.
