27. Cleveland Cavaliers

Last Week: Lost to Dallas Mavericks 124-97, Lost to Indiana Pacers 111-102, Beat Boston Celtics 102-94, Lost to Washington Wizards 120-105, Lost to Brooklyn Nets 123-109

Over/Under Projection; Guess/Result: 22; Over; Wrong

The Cleveland Cavaliers season started off strong before the inevitable spiral brought them back into the running for one of the top picks in the draft yet again. The Andre Drummond experiment clearly did not work. The Kevin Love experience is aging like milk and the young core is no better for continuing to have him around. So where do the Cavaliers go from here?

The young backcourt of Collin Sexton and Darius Garland both took a step forward this season, but concerns persist regarding their long-term fit. Combine that with the incessant reports that teammates do not love playing with Sexton and his possible pending max contract extension this summer and times in the Land are far from quiet.

This season was not without good news. The trade for Jarrett Allen was a stroke of genius for a front office often lacking such features. Bringing him back in restricted free agency should be considered a top priority. Isaac Okoro was immediately an impactful defensive player. His offense remains a work in progress but that was to be expected. If the Cavaliers can figure out what to do to make the team like their star guard more the fit of this roster will quickly make much more sense.
