3. Improve their free-throw shooting

The Kings have left a lot of points at the line this season. They are one of the best in the entire league at getting to the line in the act of shooting, attempting the seventh-most free throws in the NBA at 22.7 per game.

Unfortunately for the Kings, they only hit 16.9 free throws per game. This is good for 74.6 percent, which is 25th in the league. The anomaly here is that the Kings get fouled 19.2 times per game which is just 16th in the league.

The main culprit for this is none other than the team star Fox. He gets to the line 7.2 times per game but is only making 71.9 percent of his attempts. With Fox out due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, other players need to step up and attack the defense like Fox.

The problem for the Kings is the wrong players are getting to the line. The only player who shoots above 80 percent and gets to the line more than 2.0 times per game is Harrison Barnes who manages to get to the line 4.1 times and hits them at 83.0 percent.

If the Kings can start running plays to get them the best chance to get the right players to the line, they will be better off.
