3. Get and stay healthy

This seems to be a common theme with most teams that are missing the playoffs or are at the bottom of the play-in tournament seedings. There are very few teams who can ride out an injury stretch and still be in contention for a playoff spot.

The Cavaliers have only had Love healthy for 20 games this season and his numbers have not been what they used to be this season. They also have three players who will not play again this season. Matthew Dellavedova is out with a neck injury, Prince out with ankle surgery and Dylan Windler is out due to knee surgery.

Larry Nance Jr. is a possibility to play again this season, but as he fractured his thumb, he may miss more time. As the playoffs are so close and the Cavaliers are almost knocked out, it is unlikely that the Cavaliers will risk significant injury to one of their starters.

The Cavaliers are having trouble keeping their team on the court. Hartenstein has sustained a concussion. Lamar Stevens also sustained a concussion, and Garland has been out with an ankle injury.

While players being out with concussions may seem insignificant, all Cavaliers fans should remember how long Dellavedova was out with his concussion. It almost cost him his career. Fortunately, the gutsy Australian was able to make it back.
