Maybe will return to the Detroit Pistons next season

Sekou Doumbouya

Sekou Doumbouya is the quintessential “maybe” for the Pistons. He’s the last man standing from last season’s team, with every single other player having been moved since Weaver took over. Time will tell if that’s because he’s actually in Weaver’s long-term plans, or if it’s simply because selling low on a player as young as Doumbouya is bad business. At this point, it’s hard to get a fix on what to expect for Doumbouya’s future in Detroit.

Tyler Cook

The newest Piston, Tyler Cook parlayed a couple of mid-March 10-day contracts into a multi-year deal with the organization. Just 23 years old, he’s shown the hustle and athleticism he was known for in the G-League. He will likely have to battle for a spot in camp next season, assuming he makes it that far, but the Pistons probably have at least a favorable view of his return at this early point.

Deividas Sirvydis

At this point, who knows exactly what level of commitment the Pistons have to Deividas Sirvydis? They certainly seem invested in him being an NBA player, more so than one would generally expect of a player of his pedigree. Maybe the Pistons are simply highly motivated to make things work with him, but time will tell if that ends up being enough to warrant his return next season.
