Probably will return to the Detroit Pistons next season

Frank Jackson

One of the biggest surprises for the Pistons this season, Frank Jackson has stood out over the past month or so. Since March 15th, he’s played every game, starting four of them, averaging 11.7 points per game while shooting 49.0 percent from the floor and 41.7 percent from 3-point range. It’s been a stunning performance and the Pistons would obviously love to bring him back next season.

Josh Jackson

The other Jackson in the Pistons’ locker room, Josh Jackson is also likely to return. He signed this past offseason to a team-friendly two-year, $9.7 million deal, and he’s lived up to it. In spite of some injury woes through this season, he’s been the player the Pistons hoped he would be and more.

Mason Plumlee

When it was announced that the Pistons had included a trade kicker in Mason Plumlee’s contract, it became pretty clear that Weaver intended to keep him for the long haul of his three-year, $25 million deal. Plumlee has largely been better than expected (at least this writer’s expectations), and his trade value may increase as a result. Still, it’s not likely in the cards for him to get moved this coming offseason.

Saben Lee

Saben Lee has been everything you want out of a point guard selected in the second round. He’s athletic, a capable distributor, and he’s able to keep a handle on the game. It doesn’t seem like things move too fast for him, and his shooting has come around after a rough start to the season. We’ll see if that’s sustainable, but he’s already been deemed part of the Pistons’ Core Four. Expect that designation to hold true.
