What’s in it for the Miami Heat?

Being a Heat fan, what’s not to like about the potential arrivals of both Oladipo and Tucker? One is an All-Star, the other a great rotation piece to have, both of which have dropped significantly in trade value as of late.

Being a Heat fan, you’d have to admit that this roster just ain’t cutting it right now. The competition is fierce and some fresh blood is needed to lift the team. Whether this means trading for a star or simply a slight rotational twist, change is needed in South Beach.

In Victor Oladipo, the Miami Heat get a star with a resume that many of his peers are envious of. Two All-Star selections, a Most Improved Player award, an All-Defensive as well as an All-NBA selection, all in the same year.

Despite having suffered an injury that had him sidelined for over 365 days, Vic seems to be back stronger than ever. His talents were glaringly clear even in a very talented Indiana Pacers team this season and his return to All-Star form is imminent.

Moving on to the other end, close your eyes and try to picture the perfect role player to add to the culture set by the Miami Heat. On a scale from nine to ten, how much does he look like Houston’s P.J. Tucker?

Over the years, Tucker has made a name for himself as being one of the league’s best defenders. There have been many victims of his talents, with superstars struggling to even approach their scoring average when being matched up against him.

At the end of the day, Tucker would be a huge improvement over Andre Iguodala. Tucker is just one year younger than Iggy, though he hasn’t declined at all these past few years. What’s more impressive is that he has been shooting a career-high 45 percent from behind the arc this season.
