3. Kyle O’Quinn

Transitioning into veteran options over young prospects, Kyle O’Quinn could be the enforcer off the bench the Brooklyn Nets have been looking for. The eight-year NBA veteran has played with the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers and is a brute down low.

Two years ago was the last time he received notable minutes for the New York Knicks. In 18.0 minutes per game the big man 7.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. He is not as thin as the aforementioned big man options and would be able to body up some of the best centers in the league and at least make things slightly more difficult for them.

O’Quinn has also been noted in the past to be a well-liked teammate, which is an underrated trait to bring to a chemistry experiment like the Brooklyn Nets. Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving are three of the more mercurial personalities at the top of the talent spectrum in this league so bringing in the kind of locker room presence that O’Quinn brings to the table could bring an impact far beyond what he brings to the court. The extra rebounds and blocks would just be the icing on the cake.
