2-7. Previous: 29th. Detroit Pistons. 29. team. 64.

Last Week: Lost to Boston Celtics 120-122, Lost to 125-115 Milwaukee Bucks, Lost to Milwaukee Bucks 130-115, Beat/OT Phoenix Suns 110-105

This Week: 1/10 vs. Utah Jazz, 1/13 vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 1/15 vs. Washington Wizards, 1/16 at Miami Heat

For the second week in a row, the Detroit Pistons found a way to finish the week with a win and have fans experience a little positivity. Make no mistake, they are a really bad team. But they are competitive in nearly every game (read: games not against the Milwaukee Bucks) and are at least seeing something out of rookies Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart.

Bey is the shining star of this set of rookies so far, shooting 45.7 percent from distance on 5.8 attempts per game. He is competitive on the defensive end and is not afraid of the moment. He came up big late in the fourth quarter and overtime victory against the Phoenix Suns and is quickly endearing himself to fans.

Jerami Grant is the other major positive for the Pistons this week. He scored 31 points in consecutive games and is on the longest streak of his career scoring 20 or more. Grant is the foundational piece for this team and he is making those who mocked the contract signed over the offseason look silly.

Now the negatives. Blake Griffin was serviceable on Friday but has mostly looked like a shell of himself. Killian Hayes injured his hip and will be out indefinitely as he and the organization determine whether or not to pursue surgery. It is great to be competitive in every game but Detroit still lost three games this week and two of them were not nearly as close as the final margin. The tank continues and this will be a common ranking for the Detroit Pistons.
