Previous: 30th. Washington Wizards. 30. team. 142. . 2-8

Last Week: Beat Brooklyn Nets 123-122, Lost to Philadelphia 76ers 141-136, Lost to Boston Celtics 116-107, Lost to Miami Heat 128-124

This Week: 1/11 vs. Phoenix Suns, 1/13 vs. Utah Jazz, 1/15 vs. Detroit Pistons

The Washington Wizards are just depressing. Bradley Beal continues to be a dominant scorer, Russell Westbrook continues to be an inefficient triple-double machine and the team keeps losing. Neither suited up against the Miami Heat and the Wizards almost won anyway.

The injury to Thomas Bryant looms large as he was one of the few bright spots the Wizards have had this season. Losing him for any extended period of time could spell a quick end to any hopes Washington has left to compete for a playoff spot.

The team is just so imbalanced. This past week was a perfect example. Bradley Beal averaged 42.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists over three games. The next highest scorer was Westbrook at a paltry 18.7 points a night (on 32.2 percent from the floor no less). Davis Bertans is shooting around league average from long range, making his value plummet. Rui Hachimura is back in the lineup but is just decent.

The seat for Scott Brooks has to be getting hotter by the day. This team was expected to compete and his relationship with Westbrook was supposed to be a mitigating factor regarding his decision making. So far that has not been the case. The clock is quickly ticking.
