Miami Heat: 5 offseason roster moves they must make
1. Trade for Victor Oladipo
While there has been speculation that the Heat front office is not interested in Victor Oladipo, they have to float the scenario. Next year is the final one of his deal which means that the Heat can go all-in on next season to make the finals without risking their shot at Antetokounmpo.
Oladipo has also said that he is happy with the Indiana Pacers and the direction that they are going in. He is apparently all in with that franchise. However, teams and players have a history of saying one thing and working on the total opposite. DeMar DeRozan and the Toronto Raptors are a perfect example.
If the Heat is able to re-sign their key players then this trade could be interesting for the Pacers as well as the Heat, One of the more common trade ideas thrown around at the moment is Kelly Olynyk, Nunn, and the Heat’s 20th pick in this years NBA draft.
This would be enticing for the Pacers as they get the potential for high production on a low-value contract, a stretch five, and a solid first-round pick. In return, the Heat gets a player with game-changing talent who would take the pressure off Butler and is an incredible perimeter defender.
