Milwaukee Bucks: Top 3 NBA teams who should trade for Eric Bledsoe
By Zamir Bueno
Milwaukee Bucks trade partner No. 2: LA Clippers
The LA Clippers were fourth in the league in pick and roll possessions averaging 25.8 per game. LA gave 38.4 percent of their possessions to Lou Williams as he averaged 9.9 per game. He shot 42.8 percent from the field on 7.5 attempts during these possessions. That field goal percentage allowed him to generate 9.1 points per game.
Williams was responsible for 38.2 percent of the team’s total pick and roll production as they shot 43.7 percent from the field on 19.8 attempts during these possessions. The field goal percentage allowed him to generate an efficient 23.8 points per game.
Unfortunately, Lou Williams could be on the trading block as the organization was disappointed with the team’s playoff performance against the Denver Nuggets and are looking to shake up the roster. Therefore, if Williams is traded, Bledsoe’s previous pick and roll success indicate he is one of the best available candidates to replace him.
The LA Clippers can offer Patrick Beverley to Milwaukee for Bledsoe. Beverley would be better suited to excel as a floor spacer alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo because he has a career shooting percentage of 38.1 percent from behind the arc on 4.2 attempts.
