3. Re-sign Davis Bertans
This is going to be one of the hardest things for the Wizards to do this offseason. The way that Bertans played before the COVID-19 hiatus was enough to warrant a big payday next season. The problem is the Wizards have $101 million in committed salary with only nine guaranteed players.
Short of moving Wall, Beal and Bryant, the Wizards need to move heaven and earth to re-sign the shooting sensation. In the last two seasons, Bertans has been sixth in the league for 3-point shooting percent.
It is this floor-spacing ability that will open up the entire offense for when Wall is able to come back from injury. This is assuming that Wall still has the same explosiveness which has been the hallmark of his career up until now.

Bertans is not the strongest defender, his game has always been based on outshooting the opponent. He shot the ball at 42.4 percent from deep last season, meaning that his lack of defense is less of an issue while he is making the shots.
At 27, Bertans is the same age as Beal and two years younger than Wall. This is a good core for a team that could look to push for a high playoff seed next year. They have been contending for the eighth spot without Wall for the last two years so it could be possible.
