142. . 24-41. Previous: 22nd. Washington Wizards. 22. team

Last Week: Lost to Phoenix 125-112
This Week: Sunday vs. Brooklyn, Monday vs. Indiana, Wednesday vs. Philadelphia, Friday vs. New Orleans

If not for a putrid second quarter that saw the Washington Wizards only muter 21 points, they may have been able to look back in their first outing in the bubble as competent. Rui Hachimura led all Wizards with 21 points and will be the focal point of the development in Orlando. Especially now that Washington is six games out of the eighth seed following a loss to Phoenix, focusing on young talent is even more relevant.

The other bright spot came from Jerome Robinson. Robinson only played fourteen games for the Wiz before the season ended. He came to the Wizards at the trade deadline as part of the three-team trade that sent Marcus Morris to the Clippers.

Robinson was drafted with one of the two first-round picks the Clippers had in the 2018 NBA draft after they selected Shai-Gilgeous Alexander. Over 75 games with the Clippers he would only average 10.6 minutes with 3.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.

As the first-ever lottery pick out of Boston College, the potential was clearly there, it was just about getting an opportunity. He got 32 minutes off the bench on Friday and made the most of this opportunity, going for 20 points on 7-9 shooting (4-6 from long range).

Throughout the rest of the time in the bubble, the Wizards may be looking at more games with this kind of scoring margin at best. Getting the most out of Hachimura, Robinson and Troy Brown, Jr. will be key to seeing what they have going forward.
