As the rest of the NBA prepares to battle in Orlando, the Cleveland Cavaliers have plenty of time to reflect and look for ways to improve.

The NBA has delivered the final nail in the coffin for the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ 2019-20 season. While 22 teams gear up to finish the season in Orlando, the Cavaliers will see their campaign come to an abrupt end.

Cleveland was in the midst of a reassuring nine-game stretch in which the squad won multiple matches against top playoff contenders. A huge fourth-quarter comeback against the Miami Heat and a dominant 14 point victory over Philadelphia marked just the fourth time the Cavs won back-to-back games all season. They did this once again a few weeks later with consecutive wins against the Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

In the big picture, this streak looks insignificant in a season in which the franchise won just 19 games. The Cavaliers still finished at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and didn’t have much to gloat about.

The roster changed quite a bit with players such as Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Knight and John Henson being shipped away. More drastic, the Cavs switched head coaches for the fourth time in two years.

Perhaps the one thing that remained consistently true all season was that Collin Sexton, Darius Garland and Kevin Porter Jr. stood out as the franchise’s most promising young prospects. With this season officially in the books, we will evaluate Sexton’s sophomore season and give out grades to the rookies.
