Sacramento Kings

Initially, the Sacramento Kings could be identified as a legitimate trade partner.

  • 76ers acquire Harrison Barnes, Nemanja Bjelica
  • Kings receive Al Horford, Zhaire Smith, 2020 second-round pick, 2021 second-round pick (via New York)

Philly would benefit in this deal since they would add two efficient perimeter scorers that would fit much better within their assembled roster than the players that they’re sending out.

Barnes, a 27-year-old reliable 3-and-D wing, is currently averaging 14.7 points on 45.9 percent shooting and 38.3 percent from 3-point range.

More from Philadelphia 76ers

Bjelica, a 32-year-old veteran stretch four, is shooting at a high percentage this season going 47.5 percent from the floor and 42.4 percent from beyond the arc while contributing 11.9 points per game.

Both players from the Kings would serve as key pieces to the Sixers’ roster and title hopes next season and possibly beyond.

As for this trade being beneficial to Sacramento, it would land them the long-term starting center that they’ve needed and give more playing time to their three best players on the court together; De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Bogdan Bogdanovic (assuming they retain him) would all be able to claim larger roles.

In addition, the Kings would receive another young prospect (Smith) and two more future assets to help shape their young core moving forward.

The Kings have the necessary pieces that would compliment the Sixers’ roster, and the Sixers have assets that would complement the Kings’ roster moving forward. A trade between these two teams could be very possible.

If Sacramento is interested in trading for Al Horford, I believe they will become the most realistic trade partner with the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason.
