3 teams that should pursue Montrezl Harrell in free agency

Montrezl Harrell free agency destinations: Charlotte Hornets
Much like Phoenix, the Charlotte Hornets are another NBA team that could have quite a bit of spending money this offseason, around $28 million if they renounce all of their cap holds. The Hornets are a team that could use an upgrade in the frontcourt position, and Harrell could be a viable option if they decide to look into it.
The only power forwards listed on Charlotte’s roster are rookies Jalen McDaniels and P.J. Washington, leaving them with a somewhat inexperienced rotation. Charlotte is not precisely in championship contention right now, having finished the season with a 23-42 record when the season paused, but could use a boost.
Terry Rozier certified himself as the top option after the team acquired him last offseason, but there has not been a solidified No. 2 next to him all year. Harrell would not elevate the team into immediate title contenders by any means, but seeing this duo pair up could at least get the ball rolling for the Hornets.
If they make all of the proper moves, their $28 million could partially get used to lure Harrell in and pair him alongside Rozier and this reasonably young group. Interesting enough, Harrell is a Tarboro, North Carolina native, and played his college basketball alongside Rozier at the University of Louisville.
Whether these things entice the 26-year-old or not, he could be an intriguing fit for the Charlotte Hornets this summer.
