Tyrese Haliburton

The Suns selecting Tyrese Haliburton is tough to see, considering how many teams are high on the Iowa State guard. However, a player like Haliburton is truly something the Suns will be looking into.

Haliburton is a 6’5″ point guard, with a great ability to defend the perimeter, as well as a well-rounded offensive arsenal. That being said, Haliburton has exactly what the Suns want, especially considering his ability as a playmaker and a shooter.

His season in Iowa State saw him averaging 15.2 points per game, along with 6.5 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game, something that is more than impressive. Haliburton is a reliable all-rounder who is obviously on the agenda for the Suns, in fact he’s on the agenda for every other team within the top-10.

The only issue that seems to be the case here, is the fact that so many teams have their eyes on the twenty-year-old guard. The Suns would be lucky to see Haliburton drop into their reach, and other teams would be willing to stop that from happening.

While the draft lottery hasn’t been completed yet, it’s possible to see the Suns jumping up the pecking order. This would be perfect for the team, meaning the chance of Haliburton is much higher. Don’t necessarily bank on it though.

He’s a win-now player, so don’t expect the Suns to pass on Haliburton if they have the chance.
