Killian Hayes

This French guard, coming straight out of the Euroleague, has got a lot of eyes on him heading into the pre-draft workouts. That being said, the Suns should have this combo guard on their radar.

Hayes is a 6-5 guard, with sensational potential as a combo-guard. Although he’s only 18, Hayes is a fantastic and reliable playmaker, with great vision and passing range. Hayes also has a great ability to finish at the rim, making him a dangerous slasher for the Suns to handle.

His season playing in Europe saw the guard scoring around 12.8 points per game while dishing out 6.2 assists. Hayes has the potential to become a raw prospect for the Suns, who’ll be looking for their next young prodigy.

However, one issue seems to be making its courses for the young Frenchman, which is his lack of shooting.

The Suns have plenty of shooters to play with, and it’s obvious that shooting is their plan of attack for the future. Hayes isn’t necessarily a shooter in his own right. While he did shoot 39 percent from the three, he still has plenty to work on as an offensive threat.

Choosing Hayes would be a great opportunity for the Suns to rely on Rubio, while he reaches the peak of his career, allowing the Suns to mentor the 18-year-old. The thing is, would the Suns would be willing to make that decision with such a high pick? While Hayes isn’t going to be a producer straight away, the potential is certainly there and the Suns wouldn’t mind cashing in on it. For the future, this is a great opportunity.
