3. Dec. 29, 1997: Dennis Rodman has a phenomenal night on the glass against the Atlanta Hawks.

Since Rodman was known as one of the best rebounders in the NBA during his playing days, it is only appropriate that we begin this list with his best rebounding game as a member of the Chicago Bulls.

As fans recall, the Bulls began their last championship season without the services of Pippen, who was out of the lineup for the first 35 games due to foot surgery. Without their second-leading scorer on the court, the Bulls struggled to an 8-7 start.

Fortunately, Rodman elevated his game to another level, and the Bulls posted 11 wins in 13 outings prior to this matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Chicago continued their winning ways against the Hawks with Jordan and Rodman leading the way.

Jordan poured in 47 points on an uber-efficient 18-for-26 shooting from the field. Meanwhile, Rodman — aka The Worm — hauled in 29 rebounds, including nine on the offensive glass. Thanks to these meaningful contributions by two of the team’s stars, the Bulls rolled to a 97-90 win, their seventh straight win during an eight-game winning streak.
