Former Chicago Bulls forward Dennis Rodman was pivotal in the team’s second three-peat. Here’s a look at some of his best moments as a Bull.
Let’s take a trip back into the sports time machine. The time in question is the summer of 1995. After ousting the Charlotte Hornets 3-1 in the opening round, the Chicago Bulls were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

Not even the return of Michael Jordan could prevent the Bulls from coming up short against the up-and-coming Orlando Magic. This was the first time in five years that the Bulls had lost a playoff series with both Jordan and Scottie Pippen on the roster.
Needless to say, the Bulls didn’t envision their season coming to such a disappointing end. Horace Grant — who had signed with the Magic before the start of the 1994-95 campaign — played a pivotal role in helping his new team knock off his former team in six games.
Taking that into consideration, the Bulls knew they needed a player that was capable of stepping in and filling the void created by Grant’s departure. They would address this need by acquiring Dennis Rodman in exchange for Will Perdue.
Given Rodman’s reputation as a controversial player, the move was considered a risk. And from a fan’s perspective, he was the central figure of the Bad Boys Pistons teams that eliminated the Bulls from the playoffs in three consecutive seasons.
As expected, Rodman did have his share of less-than-stellar moments in Chicago. On the flip side of the coin, the Bulls went on to win three more championships for a total of six titles in an eight-year span.
Here’s a look back at some of Rodman’s most memorable moments in a Chicago Bulls uniform.
