5. The Giannis Antetokounmpo/James Harden beef

This is a rare bit of levity in this fairly miserable season. James Harden suggested in the summer that Giannis Antetokounmpo won his MVP last season due to “narrative”, Antetokounmpo picked Kemba Walker over Harden in the All-Star Draft because he “wanted somebody who would pass” and then claimed that Team Giannis adopted the strategy in the All-Star Game of attacking Harden on defense.

That led to Harden taking a shot at Giannis, stating:

"“I wish I could be 7-feet, run and just dunk. That takes no skill at all. I gotta actually learn how to play basketball and how to have skill. I’ll take that any day.”"

After Harden fired this blast at his All-Star counterpart and MVP rival, he followed it up by shooting 35.8 percent from the floor and 24.6 percent from 3-point range over the next six games leading up to the suspension of the season.

On the other hand, Antetokounmpo dropped 41 points and 20 rebounds the very next game after Harden’s comments, and in the four games he played before this hiatus averaged 28.8 points and 14.5 rebounds to go with 5.3 assists.

Looks like the MVP will remain the MVP once again.
