2. Whole team clicking immediately

How many times have we seen teams struggle to perform after making a trade or a signing? It’s become a fact of life. This is why you rarely see championship teams being active in the trade market during the season, as it would mess up their chances at the ultimate prize.

Out of the 15 players on the current Lakers roster, just six of them were a member of the team last season. That is less than half of them, mainly due to the big Anthony Davis trade that completely shook up the entire roster.

The team seems to be working like a well-oiled machine, firing on all cylinders. Defensively, they are leading the league in blocks per game, rebounding the ball as if it is no problem and are allowing the third-fewest points per game to their opponents.

What else is there left to be said about the squad’s offensive game? League leaders in field goal percentage, thanks to the premier offensive patience they’ve shown and the excellent ball movement.

Despite losing their opening game of the season against the LA Clippers, the Lakers would go on to have a 24-3 start. The team started clicking right away as if they have been playing with each other for years. As a result, they quickly climbed the standings ladder.
