Trae Young has made it clear he is tired of losing and wants help. The return of John Collins from suspension has certainly helped some, but this Atlanta Hawks roster is far from being a playoff team.

They lack a true inside presence, which shows night in and night out as teams score at will on them. It appears, for now, they are out of the Andre Drummond sweepstakes. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for them since he is a half-season rental and the Hawks have nothing to play for at this point. If they want Drummond, they have a shot this summer in free agency.

Insert Steven Adams. The Hawks have been linked in Adams for a good part of the season, probing the Thunder for what kind of package they would want for him. Although they are high on Cam Reddish, Steven Adams is already a proven high-quality center in the NBA and is still only 26 years old.

If the Hawks want to hit fast-forward on their rebuild, Adams would be a great start. Cam Reddish makes a ton of sense in Oklahoma City alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
