No. 3: Bogdanovic, Conley will be valuable additions for a deep run

The first bold prediction when it comes to the Utah Jazz as they head into the 2019-20 NBA season is that the acquisitions of point guard Mike Conley and forward Bojan Bogdanovic during the course of the offseason will prove to be valuable additions in Salt Lake City.

When looking at both Conley and Bogdanovic, the first thing that comes up is obviously both of their talent levels and their ability to boost Utah most notably on the offensive end of the floor.

Another thing when looking at these two veteran players that stands out and will end up being beneficial to the Jazz this season is the fact that they both contain playoff experience and have the ability to bring a mindset to the team that could benefit them if they do indeed make a return to the postseason at the end of the year.

Entering the 2019-20 campaign, Bogdanovic has reached the playoffs a total of four times throughout the course of his five-year NBA career, most recently as a member of the Indiana Pacers during the 2018-19 campaign.

In the postseason, Bogdanovic has averaged a career total of 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.8 steals in 28.5 minutes per game in 30 total contests beyond the regular season. He also carries playoff averages of 40 percent shooting from the field, 35.2 percent from three and a free throw percentage of 80.3 percent.

Conley, on the other hand, has reached the postseason in six different seasons so far in his 12-year professional career, most recently with the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2016-17 season.

In the playoffs, Conley has averaged 16.5 points, 6.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 37.4 minutes per game in a total of 56 contests. During that span, he holds a field goal percentage of 41.4 percent, 3-point percentage of 31.7 percent and a mark of 79.2 percent from the free throw line.

There are many benefits that both Conley and Bogdanovic will be able to provide the Jazz with this season and during the course of their tenures in Salt Lake City, but the most notable thing is that they both contain valuable playoff experience and it will play a key part in Utah trying to make a deep run at the end of the year in 2019-20.
