During the offseason, Utah was one of the more aggressive teams around the league in going out and retooling its roster while looking to continue to build around the young, athletic nucleus of Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and company.
The offseason and a shift of talent throughout the league kicked off with the Jazz and their acquisition of star point guard Mike Conley in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies that sent Grayson Allen, Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver and a 2020 1st round draft pick from Utah to Memphis.
With the addition of Conley, the Jazz not only were able to add yet another veteran talent to their starting lineup, but Utah also is able to add a high-caliber player with some playoff experience to assist them in pursuit of a deep run in the postseason in 2019-20.
Later on in the offseason, the Jazz dipped into free agency and made some waves around the NBA when they were able to add the talents of forward Bojan Bogdanovic, guard Emmanuel Mudiay, forward Jeff Green and forward/center Ed Davis to the roster for the upcoming year.
With the handful of additions, Utah has prepared itself to take the next step in the Western Conference and in the league in general, gearing up and hopefully looking forward to a big season ahead this fall and winter.
As we get ready to head into the new season with the campaign right around the corner, here are three bold predictions for the Jazz as they look to return to the postseason and take another step into becoming a powerhouse in the NBA this year.
