Minnesota Timberwolves: 5 key 2019-20 games
By Ethan Becker
4. Monday, Jan. 27: Timberwolves vs. Kings
This season, one of the overarching story lines that will pop up again and again is how they can right the wrongs of last season.
After getting off to a horrible 4-9 start, the Minnesota Timberwolves just couldn’t seem to be able to put things back on the right track even after Jimmy Butler and Tom Thibodeau left.
A big stats burst from Karl-Anthony Towns and a 5-5 start after the All-Star break gave fans a small hope of sneaking in as an eighth seed again, but it wasn’t to be.
The first step on the road to not only making the playoffs but also erasing the memory of last season will be Minnesota’s first game against the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings finished ninth in the Western Conference last season and if Minnesota can reliably beat them, they’ll be one step closer to being an annual playoff team.
