2. Landry Shamet

First, let me say that I’m a fan of the sharpshooting ability Landry Shamet possesses, and his fit with the team for years to come. This has more to do with the typical growing pains many NBA rookies face, as they enter their sophomore seasons, than anything else.

I personally believe he will thrive with star-studded talent around him and make defenses face tough decisions.

The LA Clippers have a wealth of talent at their disposal, players that will compete at multiple positions for playing time. If Shamet isn’t prepared to play championship-level basketball, early in the season, rotation adjustments may have to be made.

Any long shooting slumps for him, could open the door for someone else, ready to step into the limelight.

A full offseason with the Clippers and coach Rivers should be more than enough to see Shamet make even bigger strides as a player for his team. Nonetheless, he will have to show, his rookie shooting touch was no accident.

Ultimately, I see more confidence, consistency and clutch shots in Shamet’s future with the organization.
