3. Robert Covington

Robert Covington is on the verge of being tainted in the eyes of Minnesota Timberwolves fans. His game, which has a heavy focus on defensive and ball movement, suits what the Timberwolves need, but there’s a good chance that he could fall to the wayside.

Covington must bring his A-game again next season. To begin with, if he starts to underperform, he could be poisoned by being lumped in with Dario Saric and Jimmy Butler, and be seen as just another part of a horrible trade in Minnesota history.

Along with that, Covington is coming off of a knee injury that limited him to just 22 games with the Wolves last season and is the front-runner for the starting power forward spot, according to head coach Ryan Saunders.

If he fails in that role, Covington’s value could plummet given the potential depth behind him with guys like Jarrett Culver and Josh Okogie, and his career could come to an abrupt stop after just a few years in the league.
