Minnesota Timberwolves: 3 players facing most pressure in 2019-20

With all eyes on the Minnesota Timberwolves after a less than stellar offseason, which players are under the most pressure to perform this season?
In the nicest terms possible, the Minnesota Timberwolves did not have the offseason that they were envisioning in late May. D’Angelo Russell slipped out from under their fingers, they lost fan favorites like Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson and Tyus Jones. Because of their financial situation, they were not one of the teams that had a chance to land a big free agent in a loaded free agency class.
Still, there are some reasons to stay excited about Minnesota’s upcoming season. Both Jarrett Culver and Jaylen Nowell feel like they can bring a lot of production off the bench.
Signings like Jake Layman, Noah Vonleh and Jordan Bell all go a long way to helping its bench. Young talent like Josh Okogie and Keita Bates-Diop will continue to prosper and help the team in various ways.
Minnesota knows that they need to step up to stay afloat in the league and to stay relevant to prospective free agents, and they need to convey that urgency to its players.
