3. How will the new guys impact the team?

Utah is bringing in five new rotation guys this year, ranging from the aforementioned Conley and Bogdanovic to players like Jeff Green and Ed Davis. That may seem like a lot of change for one offseason, but it will actually benefit the Jazz over the 82 game season. Each of these guys brings the same thing to the Jazz: leadership.

Every player they are bringing in has profound leadership abilities. Ed Davis is one of the best locker room guys to have. Mike Conley is a great leader and has never gotten a technical foul in his career. Bogdanovic led the Pacers to the playoffs after losing star Victor Oladipo.

Aside from Joe Ingles, the Jazz core is very young. Donovan Mitchell is going into his third year, Rudy Gobert is hitting his prime and players like Dante Exum and Royce O’Neale have shown flashes of being capable role players.

All the new players coming in will help the young players on the team, Mike Conley especially. Conley has been to the playoffs numerous times and has even been to the Western Conference Finals. He’ll be able to pass his knowledge down to Mitchell, which will be beneficial to Donovan as he looks to grow his career and be successful in the postseason.

Overall, all the acquisitions coming in will be leaders for everyone to follow. They’ve been there before and know what it takes to win at the next level.
