Cleveland Cavaliers: 4 potential Kevin Love trades to consider
By Tony Pesta
4. Boston Celtics
The first team we will look at is the Boston Celtics. After the Kyrie Irving trade officially backfired on them with him leaving the franchise in free agency to join the Brooklyn Nets, the Celtics are relying on their young core to lead them.
This isn’t too bad, as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are two of the most promising prospects in the league. Combine this with the veteran All-Star, Kemba Walker, and the Celtics aren’t far off from competing for a championship again.
In order to take the next step, the Celtics might be interested in doing another trade with Cleveland, this time for Kevin Love.
Acquiring Love would round out the Celtics lineup, adding more star power and 3-point shooting to a team needing both. Furthermore, they receive a young and versatile wing in Cedi Osman.
In return, the Celtics would ship over Gordon Hayward, a 28-year-old former All-Star who hasn’t been able to gel with the Celtics at all. Most importantly, the Cavaliers receive a 2020 First Round pick that Boston acquired from the Memphis Grizzlies.
This pick will likely fall somewhere valuable in the lottery, helping Cleveland load up on young talent.
