This isn’t to take anything away from Love and his overall great career. He was a two-time All-NBA member before joining the Cavaliers and an NBA champion with them. In his four years with Cleveland, Love has averaged 17.1 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
Love has seven seasons this decade in which he’s averaged a double-double, trailing only Dwight Howard, who has nine.
It’s obvious that Love is talented and can still be a valuable member of a competitive team. Right now, the Cavaliers are far from competitive, finishing last season with a 19-63 record.
Because of this, the Cavs should look to trade Love for future assets to help their rebuild and give Love a shot at winning.
Today, we will break down four of the most realistic trades we can come up with for Love. The goal in each deal will be to either receive a talented rising star or draft assets to assist in the rebuild.
