3. More development time for the young ones

As funny as it may seem, the New York Knicks currently possess one of the best young cores in the entire NBA. After years and years of unsuccessful draft selections, the Knicks are now on a fertile drafting spree.

Their selections in the 2018 NBA Draft, Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson, both seem like very promising young pieces to have. Knox showcased great offensive capabilities and Robinson had one of the best second round rookie seasons of all time.

This year’s chosen one, R.J. Barrett, has already become a fan favorite in New York without even having worn a Knicks jersey. His incredible love for the team and his tremendous upside have made every Knicks fan extremely excited for his league debut.

If those guys weren’t enough, you can certainly add Dennis Smith Jr. and Frank Ntilikina to the mix of exciting young players. Smith’s explosiveness provided a spark of much-needed energy last season and Ntilikina’s defensive prowess is an aspect every team would be lucky to have.

Now that the team’s focus is once again on rebuilding these young guys are about to get all the attention and playing time they need.
