1. Kevin Durant

To be honest, you wouldn’t have to be a psychic to have seen that one coming. Along with Kyrie Irving, fellow superstar Kevin Durant has been linked with a 2019 move to the Knicks for the last year.

Durant is currently in New York, as he underwent surgery to repair his ruptured Achilles injury. His recruiting phase will begin on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.

Even though his injury is a major one, we are still dealing with a player worthy of a max contract and arguably one of the best players this game has ever seen. After joining the Golden State Warriors to pursue his goal of winning a championship, Durant has only one thing left to prove: that he can win alone without the super-team Golden State Warriors.

The New York Knicks will most likely make signing Kevin Durant priority No. 1, offering him everything they’ve got in terms of money. And for the things money can’t buy, there’s always the road of agreements like these:

Almost every basketball fan would love to witness Kevin Durant take on a new challenge and try to compete with a young core of Barrett, Knox, etc. around him. The Knicks deserve to have a superstar like KD, someone to put up the historic numbers that Durant seems to post without breaking a sweat.

According to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania, the Knicks, Nets, Warriors and Clippers are his four main options at this time.

The whole fanbase is behind the whole idea of Durant signing with the Knicks. Though he’s set to miss the entire 2019-20 campaign rehabbing from the torn Achilles, he’d also help New York lure another star to the Big Apple, either this season or next.
