2. Kawhi Leonard

After completing one of the finest cameos in NBA history, Kawhi Leonard could already be looking for a new challenge, one that would hopefully lead him straight to New York.

The truth is, when you weigh in the free agency options for a team with constant media coverage, whose players are under the spotlight 24/7, the name Kawhi Leonard doesn’t really seem to add up. As such a quiet guy, you’d think that Kawhi’s best options would include teams like…well, the San Antonio Spurs and the Toronto Raptors.

As funny as it seems, the teams currently on the hunt for Leonard appear to be the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and, of course, the incumbent Toronto Raptors. Apart from the Raptors, all of the aforementioned teams are in the two biggest markets in the NBA. Ergo, Kawhi may be looking to sign with a big-market team.

Even though the reigning NBA Finals MVP had a great supporting cast to back him up during the Toronto’s playoff run, he almost single-handedly carried the Raptors to their first NBA championship.

After basically solidifying himself as the best player on the planet, Kawhi is up for a new challenge. Who knows where this “fun guy” will take his talents next, but reports are that the Knicks are in the running.
