Chicago Bulls: 5 bargain bin targets in 2019 NBA free agency
4. Seth Curry
Last season, the Chicago Bulls didn’t exactly light up the scoreboard on a regular basis. In fact, no team made fewer 3-pointers than the Bulls. Prioritizing outside shooting should be at the top of the front office’s to-do list this summer. Seth Curry, coming off a season in which he shot 45.0 percent from deep, should be at the top of that list.
Inking a one-year, $2.8 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers last summer, Curry averaged 7.9 points per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field with a 59.5 true shooting percentage for the Blazers.
With Curry on the court, the Bulls would be able to stretch the floor, giving the team more offensive versatility, something they’ve sorely needed. The 6’2″ sharpshooter also boasted a positive net rating of +4.4 while playing 18.9 minutes per game.
Seth Curry has bounced around the league, from Sacramento to Dallas to Portland. As an unrestricted free agent this summer, he’ll most likely be looking for a place to settle in on a multi-year deal. Chicago would be an ideal landing spot for the “other” Curry.
