3. Thaddeus Young

Coming off a four-year, $54 million deal he signed with the Brooklyn Nets, Thaddeus Young spent the last three seasons Indiana Pacers. He may not qualify as a bargain basement find, but his value to the team could be worth a new deal from the Chicago Bulls.

At 31 years old, Young would be an excellent addition to a deficient in frontcourt bench scoring. A versatile 6’8″, he could slide in to provide the Bulls scoring relief when Markkanen is off the court.

In 2018-19, the smooth lefty averaged 12.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game with a 56.9 true shooting percentage. He also posted an impressive 6.9 win shares.

With the Chicago Bulls frontcourt currently consisting of rookie Daniel Gafford and Cristiano Felicio as the bigs off the bench, they should give a long look at the Thaddeus Young. He could play a huge role in the team’s attempt to return to playoff glory.
