Malcolm Brogdon

Malcolm Brogdon may be tough to pry from the Milwaukee Bucks, as they can match any offer for their restricted free agent.

Brogdon, who will turn 27 next season, just finished his third NBA season. He averaged 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game for the Bucks while shooting 42.6 percent from 3-point range in 2018-19.

What is intriguing about Brogdon is not what’s necessarily in the numbers, but his calm and steady personality. He doesn’t seem to get too swayed by emotions or the moment, which would serve him well as the lead guard on any club.

He’s not flashy, but he gets the job done. The concern with Brogdon, besides the ability to steal him from the Bucks, is that he’s not much of a playmaker, at least not in the way that Lonzo Ball has the potential to be.

Brogdon, who is older than LaVine, Markkanen and Otto Porter Jr., could provide that steady leadership in the locker room and on the court and would give the Bulls a strong defender they desire. If they can get him on a two-year deal, he’d be a nice addition.
