8. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers were the worst team of this entire list in 2018-19, winning a mere 37 games, missing the playoffs and thoroughly failing to meet expectations. The front office is in shambles, it doesn’t seem like any superstars want to join the Lakers in free agency and concern has already crept in that they could be on track to waste another year of LeBron James‘ dwindling prime.

There’s a lot riding on this summer, but if the Lakers are able to loop in a third team and make a league-altering move for Anthony Davis (just throw in Kyle Kuzma, you fools), this once prestigious franchise would not only establish itself as a contender for 2019-20, but also as an organization to be taken seriously again, even after the King’s time is done.

Trading for the Brow is a necessity that could change how big-name free agents currently view the Lakers. The lure of L.A. would grow a lot stronger, and having two superstars is the key to signing a third this summer. This was the first season LeBron James appeared human, and his defense and leadership were absolutely atrocious, but between his otherworldly talents, ample cap space and young players available to trade, the Lakers cannot be counted out in what’s shaping up to be an epic offseason.
