Philadelphia 76ers: Top 20 plays of the 2018-19 NBA season

16. T.J. McConnell gorgeous drop-off to Headband Ben Simmons
Winning aside, the Sixers are one of the most entertaining squads in basketball. A 6’10” point guard, combined with a generational center, is a pair the game has seen only a few times in its history. Against an injury-riddled Washington Wizards roster on Nov. 30, the Sixers were met with no resistance, mauling them by a solid 25 points.
Transition offense, gallivanting around the court to total 28 assists is what ultimately led to the victory. Simply put, Brett Brown and co. had fun with it on this night — most notably with this to-and-fro, behind-the-back dish from T.J. McConnell in transition, who also notched 15 points off the bench.

15. Markelle Fultz cocks it back for a dunk down the lane vs. Grizzlies
Believe it or not, Markelle Fultz showed some impressive flashes for the Sixers in this campaign – if only for a short while. Now a member of the Orlando Magic, Fultz took a bit of a leap in his second pro season. He averaged 8.2 points per game, and started in 15 games.
In November, Fultz tallied 14 points in an ovetime victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, managing to buoy Philly fans’ spirits with an emphatic dunk down the heart of the lane.
By the end of the month, he was sidelined with neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome in his shoulder, and never returned to the floor.
The fact remains, the former No. 1 overall pick has a ton of ground to cover. He’s appeared in just 33 games in two seasons, and has yet to prove that his jumper can be resurrected. Perhaps Orlando’s intuition revolves around baby steps with the maligned guard. For now, though, he earns a spot on this competitive countdown.
