3. Coby White, PG, UNC

With Mike Conley‘s future still uncertain and recent acquisition Delon Wright not exactly a spring chicken, the team would be wise to select a point guard going forward. The most important position in the NBA is one that’s hard to develop and even harder to finder the right talent for.

Enter Coby White. The speedy freshman from UNC would be an excellent fit on the team, based on talent and team needs.

White isn’t the typical mold for a point guard, but he is great at scoring the ball. He will have to work on his decision-making and learning how to play under control. He’s a great finisher under the rim, something the Grizzlies severely lack, and was a decent shooter from distance.

He was quite turnover-prone, committing almost three per game to go along with averaging just over four assists.
