10. Jeff Green poster slam in the desert

Jeff Green has managed to carve out a career lasting nearly 11 seasons, in part because of his ability to fly with the best of them high above the rim. At 6’9″, he’s built a long list of posterized victims, most of whom never saw it coming.

The Wizards were in Arizona to play the Phoenix Suns. It was a meaningless game in late March, one that had more impact on the coming lottery than the playoff picture, but as he’s done over the course of his productive career, Green managed to inject a bit of energy into the game midway through the second quarter.

He gave the ball up in semi-transition only to get it right back, flying towards the rim and packing home a nasty poster slam over the 7’1″ Dragan Bender, finishing through contact for the and-one bucket.

The game may not have meant much, but Washington’s bench sure seemed to be engaged, leaping up with excitement with a need for containment after their 32-year-old teammate added another victim to his personal collection.
