3. Don’t mess with success

By far one of the hottest teams in the league right now, the Brooklyn Nets have been on an incredible run. This scrappy group has won four of its last five games and has an 8-2 record in 2019. Finding a way to win night in and night out, Brooklyn has developed a reputation as a team that will put up a fight against anyone. The Nets have even powered their way to monster wins against teams like the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets.

Just 48 games into the season, they have already won more games than they did in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons and are only four wins away from surpassing their 2017-18 win total. With the team looking like it has truly taken the next step after a stretch as one of the worst in the NBA, Brooklyn should leave this roster alone and let it continue to grow.

D’Angelo Russell has been having a coming-out part as of late and it looks like he could be a reliable star-level player for the franchise at some point. In the month of January, he is averaging 24 points, 7.5 assists, 3.9 3-pointers, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 31 minutes per game. He has even earned himself an Eastern Conference Player of the Week award. Spencer Dinwiddie has been lightening in a bottle as well, playing himself into consideration for both the Most Improved Player and Sixth Man of the Year award.

Even the role players have been worthy of praise this season. Joe Harris, putting up 2.4 3s a night on 47.5 percent shooting, has solidified himself as one of the best perimeter shooters in the league. Jarrett Allen has been blocking anyone that dares to challenge him, sparing no one. Players like DeMarre Carroll, Ed Davis and Shabazz Napier have found a way to make contributions to the team’s success.

With the whole team firing on all cylinders, there is no reason to change a thing.
