2. Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal’s name is one that has come up quite a bit this season, if for no other reason than the fact that the Washington Wizards look like a team that could blow it up and start again. There is no interest in John Wall around the league either, because he is owed approximately one billion dollars through to the end of his extension.

This makes Beal their most enticing trade piece, and although Orlando isn’t likely on top of his wish list of potential trade destinations, he would fit really well with what is already in place there. Beal would stretch the floor brilliantly with his shooting ability.

He would also be playing, for now at least, with a point guard in D.J. Augustin who doesn’t have one-tenth of the personality Wall has, and who would be more than willing to facilitate to Beal at every opportunity. Building the offense around his talents would work for both team and player.

The trio of forwards that is Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac and Mohamed Bamba would all enjoy playing with a guy like Beal who could make the offensive end more open for them, although it is likely one (or more) of those three guys would have to go to Washington as part of the deal.

Ross, if he wasn’t included, would work excellently backing him up, while Evan Fournier would either slide up to the small forward spot or be gone himself. Beal is a career 38.8 percent 3-point shooter; just image what the Magic could do with that kind of shooting to space the court.

Given the position the Wizards could find themselves in soon, a deal centered around one of Orlando’s young forwards, Ross and a first round pick would rank among the better offers that they could expect to get. It would also be somewhat ironic that another Dwight Howard-infected team would lead to this entire chain of events taking place and getting Beal to Orlando.
