Utah Jazz: 5 things to hope for in 2019
5. Boost in offensive production
One big thing Utah will have to try and improve on is its offensive production in the second half of the season, which is an obvious key for any team looking to put together a successful final stretch to the year.
So far this season, the Jazz haven’t been eye-popping on the offensive side of the floor, ranking in the bottom 10 in the NBA in both points per game and offensive rating.
Through 38 games, Utah is averaging 107.7 points per game, which ranks 21st out of 30 teams in the league, while totaling an offensive rating of 107.0, which ranks 22nd.
The Jazz have been strong on the defensive side of the floor, which has helped mask some of their struggles on offense thus far. But when you face the offensive powerhouses that sit in the West, this area needs to be something Utah improves in the second half of the season to remain in the thick of the playoff conversation.
