As the new year begins and the second half of the 2018-19 season approaches, here are five things the Utah Jazz should hope for in 2019.

It may be hard to believe, but we are already nearing the midway point in the 2018-19 NBA season, as 2019 is officially here.

With the calendar swapping over a new year this week, the Utah Jazz and the rest of the league prepare to finish off the first half of the NBA schedule on a strong note, while putting together an even stronger run in the second half.

For the Jazz, the opening portion of the regular season schedule has been one filled with ups and downs. After Tuesday’s loss to the Toronto Raptors, Utah has found itself floating right around the .500 mark with a record of 18-20 overall so far this season.

With the new year and the second half of the season inching closer, here are five things that Utah should hope for as we flip to 2019.
